MUZAI Records are proud to announce the release of Anomaly, the debit album from UK producer baleful95 on CD and digital formats.

After the release of his debut EP in early 2022, the grindcore musician tirelessly locked himself away in his home studio to work through the effects of a Great Britain post-lockdown.

Long known as a cathartic process for the musician (and a form of catharsis for fans of his music), the tracks evoke moods that parallel the concerns in the UK.

A cost of living crisis, a health care system teetering on the brink, a parade of new political leaders grandfathered into the roles rather than publicly votes in. A general pissed off sensation rather than a sombre one.

Having debuted a series of singles in the lead up to Anomaly, listeners heard the progression into a more breakcore sound. The grinding guitar riffs and tortured vocals from Baleful95 are married with breakcore beats, akin to labelmates Powerdrill, with knowing glances at the works of Atari Teenage Riot.
